How Explain a Paper works

A short film about how Explain a Paper works: upload a paper and answer a few questions (audience, length, film or Shorts, a redrawn film or one that shows the paper, your brand, the voice and the layout); read the first draft script, checked by one of our team; edit every script, with your own edits free and human review optional; approve it, since nothing is rendered until you do; and get the film with captions, a transcript and a poster image. Every frame is built, not generated.

From your paper to a narrated film, in four steps, with you in charge of what it says. Upload the paper and answer a few questions: who it is for, its length, film or Shorts, redrawn or showing the paper, your brand, and the voice and layout. Your first draft script is written in minutes. Then one of our team checks it and prepares it for your audience.

You can edit every script: the narration, and what you want to see at each point. Your own edits are free, and you can add human review. Nothing is rendered until you approve it, and then your film is rendered in minutes. A revision round is one complete render: three are included, and the first render uses one.

You get the film, with captions, a transcript and a poster image, and Shorts if you chose them. It is yours to upload anywhere, or we can upload it to YouTube for you. Every film is built, not generated: each frame is drawn from the paper's own words and data, so it can be checked against the source. Try it yourself, and get started today at explainapaper.com.
